today on pedal driven i am playing two interviews i did with folks involved with bicycles and film. First, i talk to Martin Reis otherwise known as tino, who is a toronto, ontario based artist. Then we hear from Ayleen Crotty from Filmed by Bike. Talking to both of these folks was a great pleasure.
Also, wanted to announce that the bike shorts film festival is looking for entries from canadian filmmakers, particularly searching for pieces from eastern canada, so check them out and send in your bike films! we're working on having a stop of the festival tour happen here in Halifax.

back in action 25 march 08
so last week i was real sick and the broadcast was basically just bits and pieces of stuff that i borrowed from others. but this week we're back in action.
on today's show i've invited cycling enthusiast Al Barbour on to talk about the local scene and beyond. we're going to get a report about the alleycat that happened this weekend, talk a bit about the halifax cycling coalition and talk about plans and strategies for this year in halifax to get bikes noticed.
I am also going to give a report about the 4 week women's bike repair course i have been teaching on saturdays in march, and talk a little about where that project is going to grow.
the photo below is from a HFX CM in 2007. just to add a little visual stimulation to your day!
